Happy New Year everyone!
Wishing you all the best on this holiday and some holiday decor ideas for a new years party!
I created a mock dinner party that I will be doing for my family this year to ring in the new year!
I hope you enjoy it and know that you don’t need to break the bank to create a fun holiday party!
ENJOY! (P.S. I linked all the products at the end of this post for you to know where to find these things for yourself)
The Treats:
I bought most of them at Sobeys/Safeway or any grocery store for that matter. I loved that different types of chocolates and cookies makes your dinner table shine! I also bought a mock alcohol drink which is Apple Cider.
The Dinnerware:
I used my plain white plates from my kitchen and I found most of my other plates from Avon Canada and they were gold and marble and since using gold and marble was my theme and I have a bunch of cute charcuterie boards and some white and gold striped bowls. Which is amazing because I found them last year and never got a chance to use them. I also used my own wine glasses and I found the gold plates, Cake stand, Lollipop suckers all from Home Sense Canada.
The Table:
Honestly, if there is anything you can do for dinner table, is to have some sort of centrepiece to create the feel for you. As well as dinner plates and I love to layer them. I used my plain white plates and added these inespensive plates I found at HomeSense here in canada and to add some extra to it, I bought some already made gingerbread (saves you time to make). As well as if your not a wine drinker I bought some apple cider and its the bubbly without the calories and alcohol. lol! I also found these amazing twinkle lights from Chapters/Indigo online and I’m so so happy to have found these!
Memories:
Collecting memories and not things…. There is nothing better than gathering with your family and close friends to celebrate a new year. So sit back and relax, and enjoy these moments with your friends and family around the dinner table! and know that once dinner is all done! Grab your comfy clothes and curl up by the couch and watch some movies or play board games, even put together a puzzle!
XOXO,
Leslie
